Community management platform Threado raised $3.1 million in seed led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India where other institutional investors such as Gemba Capital, Speciale Invest, and PointOne Capital with 30 angel investors, including Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, Zomato cofounder Pankaj Chaddah, Chargebee cofounders Krish Subramanian and Rajaraman Santhanam, Tracxn cofounder Abhishek Goyal, Capillary Technologies’ Aneesh Reddy, Mettl’s Tonmoy Shingal, Bain India’s former MD Sri Rajan, among others also participated.
Threado provides businesses and creators with a dynamic dashboard for managing online communities on platforms such as Slack, Discord, Discourse, Twitter, and GitHub. The funds will be used to strengthen the startup’s team and accelerate product development. Threado will also use the funds to expand its operations in North America. The startup assists community managers in navigating manual workflows in order to understand member needs and plan their outreach accordingly. The startup claims to have over 1 million members spread across 200 online communities. The platform has been used to send over 59,000 targeted messages in order to streamline outreach and increase traction.
