Electric vehicle manufacture Ola Electric, announced on Thursday that it intends to enter international markets, beginning with Nepal.

The company has signed an agreement with Nepal’s CG Motors to serve as a distributor for its Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters. The scooters will be available in Nepal starting in the next quarter, according to the company. In the next phase of its international expansion, Ola Electric plans to enter Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The news comes shortly after the company announced plans to open “experience centres” across India to boost sales. Following a fire in March, Ola has struggled to sell its flagship scooter, the Ola S1 Pro. Following the drop in sales, the company launched the S1, a cheaper, sub-Rs 1 lakh version of the scooter, on August 15.
