Google India announced the selection of the first cohort of 20 startups for its Google for Startups Accelerator Women Founders programme.

Google India announced that it received nearly 400 applications, of which 20 women-led startups were chosen for the first cohort. It went on to say that its women-focused accelerator programme would assist these startups with things like access to capital, resolving issues with hiring talent, mentorship, and other allied challenges faced by female entrepreneurs. In addition, Google India’s accelerator programme will host workshops and offer assistance to startups in areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud, UX, Android, web, product strategy, and growth.
