Global insurtech for embedded insurance Cover Genius raised $70 million in Series D led by Dawn Capital where New York-based Atlas Merchant Capital and existing investors King River Capital and GSquared also participated.

Cover Genius provides embedded protection to a variety of industries, including airlines, travel and rental companies, financial services, retail, real estate, ticketing, logistics, and the gig economy. The capital will be used to help the startup’s rapid business growth and the expansion of its global insurance distribution platform XCover. Cover Genius is authorised in approximately 60 countries and all 50 US states, and it provides personalised insurance and warranty products in any country, language, and currency, as well as instant claim payments worldwide.
