Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp rolls out a new update called ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode support for missed calls to some beta testers through the Google Play beta programme.

Users will be informed by the new update if they missed a call as a result of DND mode. According to Android Police, users will notice a helpful tagline immediately beneath the missed call history item indicating that the call was silenced by Do Not Disturb. When users punch up the individual’s chat thread, they will also see a similar blurb. With the addition of this feature, users will be able to let the caller know that the call was not purposefully ignored as it was placed on the do not disturb list by sharing the screenshot of the indicator with them.
