Oman to build 11 new hospitals

Oman is building 11 new hospitals as the country’s population continues to expand. The Ministry of Health in Oman is building hospitals in various regions to benefit both Omani citizens and residents.

The hospitals are expected to be completed between 2023 and 2025. The new Al Suwaiq Hospital in North Al Batinah Governorate (with a capacity of 307 beds—expected to be completed in 2024), and the new Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate (expected to be completed in 2025), according to Jamal Salim Al Shanfari, Director General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health.
Al Shanfari also stated that the new Khasab Hospital (164 beds) in Musandam Governorate is expected to open in 2024.
