Gurugram-based Juniper Green Energy, a renewable energy power producer and operator of solar, wind and hybrid power projects, has raised $350 million from AT Capital Group and Vitol.
The development comes nearly two years after the initial commitment of $200 million from AT Capital Group and Vitol.
Why AT Capital Group increased its investment commitment
Juniper Green Energy claims to have an operational portfolio of nearly 800 megawatts (MW) with an under-construction capacity of 435 MW and a development pipeline of more than 3 GW across solar, wind and hybrid power projects.
This increased investment from AT Capital Group and Vitol will play a pivotal role as Juniper Green Energy targets to triple its operational capacity to 2.5 GW by 2026 and forge ahead with its ambitious development plans.
“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Juniper Green Energy through this increased investment,” said Sanjay Bakliwal, Director at AT Capital Group. “Their impressive project pipeline, combined with their proficiency in EPC and O&M services, aligns seamlessly with our vision for a sustainable and greener future.”
Mike Muller, Head of Vitol Asia, added, “Vitol is committed to investing in sustainable energy solutions worldwide. We are pleased to support Juniper Green Energy’s ambitions to deliver a growing renewable power portfolio at a time of increasing demand for power.”
The decision to increase the investment is rooted in Juniper Green Energy’s exceptional performance and its ability to deliver value to stakeholders consistently.
The company’s comprehensive end-to-end internal competencies in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services set it apart in the industry. These in-house competencies ensure the seamless execution and long-term success of its renewable projects, bolstering investor confidence.
