Share via:

A hacker group called ‘Transparent Tribe’ is using fake Android apps mimicking YouTube to spread the CapraRAT mobile remote access trojan (RAT). The CapraRAT toolset has been used for surveillance against targets involved in Kashmir affairs and human rights activism related to Pakistan. The group, known for targeting military and diplomatic personnel in India and Pakistan, spreads these dangerous apps outside of the Google Play Store using self-run websites and social engineering techniques. The apps have features that allow the hackers to control various aspects of infected Android devices.
