Good Glamm Group’s babycare vertical BabyChakra has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from actress Dia Mirza.

As part of her role, Dia will help BabyChakra incorporate sustainable and clean care principles into their product ranges. The D2C brand will create products specifically tailored to meet the evolving needs of mothers. It further said that these products will be developed using natural, dermatologically tested, toxin-free and allergen-free ingredients while adhering to the highest global safety standards.

Founded by Naiyya Saggi in 2015, BabyChakra is a D2C babycare brand and parenting community. In 2021, BabyChakra was acquired by the cosmetic brand MyGlamm, following which, MyGlamm, POPxo and BabyChakra together formed the Good Glamm Group. Back then, the group said that it would invest INR 100 Cr in the startup over the next three years.

In addition to the investment, the actress will also engage closely with the startup’s users on its community platform Good Community. This connection will enable the mothers and the actress to share their motherhood experiences and stories, collaborating with doctors and care practitioners to provide comprehensive care to mothers and children across the country.

Commenting on the investment, Sukhleen Aneja, CEO of Good Brands Co, Good Glamm Group said, “Dia’s passion for sustainable and clean care aligns perfectly with our vision of providing the safest and best possible care for mothers and babies. We are excited to work closely with Dia as we grow our range of products and solutions for families across India.”

BabyChakra claims to have reached over 39 Mn mothers and 10,000 doctors across India. It has integrated its product line into The Moms Co and is the babycare category of the brand known as BabyChakra by The Moms Co.

In March, actor Akshay Kumar also joined the Good Glamm Group to launch a men’s personal care brand. The brand would be developed with investment from both Kumar and the company.

However, the startup’s losses for FY22 widened over 6X to INR 273 Cr from INR 44 Cr in the previous fiscal year.
