WhatsApp may soon allow users to choose their username

Share via:

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to set a username. This feature will enable users to communicate with any user, whether it’s an individual or a business, without revealing their phone numbers. The usernames will be unique and can include alphanumeric characters and some special characters. Configuring a username will be optional, and the phone number linked to an account will remain private. Additionally, WhatsApp will no longer support certain outdated smartphone models starting from October 24, 2023.
