Qualcomm has announced that it will lay off over 1,000 employees, primarily in its Santa Clara and San Diego offices in California. The layoffs are part of a restructuring exercise due to uncertainties in the macroeconomic and demand environment. The job cuts amount to 2.5% of Qualcomm’s total workforce, which is roughly around 51,000.
