Reliance Jio gets ‘good and bad’ news in second quarter of the year

Share via:

Reliance Jio has reported a net increase of 11.2 million subscribers in Q2 2023, but its mobile average revenue per user (ARPU) growth has slowed down. The company’s aggressive strategy to expand its Jio Bharat phone subscriber base is said to be hurting its ARPU. However, Jio’s ARPU has seen a growth of 2.5% on a year-on-year basis, thanks to the strong growth in its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) subscriber base. Reliance Jio is set to complete the rollout of 5G services across India by December 2023.
