Google will now tell Chrome users how much RAM each tab is consuming

Share via:

Google has introduced a new feature in its Chrome browser that allows users to monitor the memory usage of each open tab. Users can view the memory usage by hovering over the tab, which displays a pop-up window showing the tab’s RAM usage. The feature also indicates if Chrome’s Memory Saver is activated for that tab. This feature is gradually rolling out to Chrome users worldwide and will be available to all users in the coming weeks. Google has been working on other initiatives to improve Chrome’s resource management, including energy saver and tab prioritisation.
