Easy Trip Planners sees a 67% surge in Q2 net profit, reaching Rs 47 Cr

Online travel service provider Easy Trip Planners, operating as EaseMyTrip, witnessed a robust 67.2% growth in its profit after tax, reaching Rs 47.2 crore in the second quarter ending September 30, 2023. During the same period, operational revenue soared by 30.6%, totaling Rs 141.69 crore compared to Rs 108.49 crore in the previous year.

The company’s total expenses for the quarter rose by 9% to Rs 79.91 crore from Rs 73.26 crore last year. Notably, Easy Trip Planners concluded the reporting period with recoverable balances of Rs 72 crore from Go Airlines (India) Limited. 

In contrast, the first quarter of FY24 saw a 21.82% decline in consolidated net profit, amounting to Rs 25.9 crore, alongside consolidated revenue from operations at Rs 124.05 crore, compared to Rs 87.58 crore a year ago.
