JFrog appoints Gal Marder to executive Vice President of Strategy

JFrog Ltd, the liquid software company and creators of the JFrog software supply chain platform, recently announced that it has appointed Gal Marder to the leadership team as Executive Vice President of Strategy.

What will be the role of Gal Marder?

With more than 20 years experience in executive and technical leadership positions at DevOps, DevSecOps, and enterprise software companies, Marder will lead JFrog’s strategy organization in assessing new market opportunities, technology partnerships, and M&A targets.

Who is Gal Marder?

Prior to joining JFrog, Marder was the co-founder and CEO of Trainologic, a software development and consulting company specializing in Open Source, DevOps, and security solutions.

Trainologic was then acquired by JFrog in 2018 and Marder took the role of Vice President of Solution Engineering and Training to advise and train JFrog’s 7K+ customers. 

“I am very excited to join JFrog’s executive team. In the last five years, I’ve spent most of my time working with JFrog customers, witnessing the challenges they face around securing and managing the software supply chain,” said Gal Marder, EVP of Strategy, JFrog.

“I look forward to collaborating with the executive team on integrating these learnings into a strategy that provides significant value to our customers, while breaching new frontiers for JFrog’s industry leadership.”

The company is focused on enabling continuous, secure, and non-intrusive software updates through automation with an end-to-end DevOps platform, emphasizing a binary-centric approach. It aims to provide a hyper-connected experience in software updates, which they refer to as their “Liquid Software journey.” 

Notably, The company has developed the JFrog Platform, which is designed to usher in new standards in DevOps and DevSecOps. This platform is integral to their goal of powering continuous updates and has established JFrog as the “Database of DevOps,” becoming a standard in release and update management. 

It offers a range of solutions including software distribution and automation, security and compliance, artifact management, IoT device management, and impact analysis.
