One97 Communications Limited, the parent company of fintech giant and PhonePe rival Paytm, said it has partnered with Amadeus, a global travel technology company.
The partnership, which will last for the next three years, aims to integrate Amadeus’s expansive travel platform into Paytm’s services. This move is expected to enhance the travel experience for users, from search and booking to payment processes.
What is the aim of the partnership?
According to Paytm, the partnership is aimed at revolutionizing the way its users engage with travel services. The fintech giant will leverage Amadeus’s advanced automation and New Distribution Capability (NDC) technologies to offer hyper-personalized recommendations and dynamic pricing.
Paytm said the integration will enable users to access a vast inventory of global flight options, including Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Low-Cost Carriers (LCC), hotels, and more, all within the Paytm app. The single API provided by Amadeus will ensure a seamless and efficient booking experience, the company said in a release.
Providing secure payment options
The company added that the partnership also focuses on diverse and secure payment options as it will integrate various payment methods, including UPI, Paytm Wallet, and Postpaid, into the travel booking process.
The integration ensures that users can complete their transactions easily and confidently within the Paytm ecosystem, guaranteeing a safe and secure payment gateway, it said.
