Resilient Innovations, the parent company of BharatPe, has taken legal action against co-founder Ashneer Grover in the ongoing discord. The company filed a case in the Delhi High Court, seeking an injunction against Grover from divulging what it considers ‘confidential information’ regarding the firm. The Economic Times reported this recent development.
This legal recourse follows Grover’s controversial social media posts, where he shared details about equity allocation and secondary components related to BharatPe’s recent Series E funding round. Last week, on X platform (formerly Twitter), Grover’s posts shed light on the specifics of the unicorn’s $370-million fundraise, valuing the fintech at $2.86 billion. However, he later deleted the post.
BharatPe’s legal counsel argued that Grover’s actions violated his obligations outlined in the employment agreement. According to them, his disclosure of confidential information regarding the firm amounted to a breach of contract.
The company’s decision to seek legal redress stems from concerns over the breach of confidentiality clauses, indicating the seriousness with which BharatPe views Grover’s actions. The lawsuit filed in the Delhi High Court aims to prevent further disclosures of sensitive company information
