Dronetech startup Suind raises Rs 5 crore in a seed round led by Sunicon Ventures, others

Bengaluru and Zurich-based drone technology startup Suind has raised Rs 5 crore in a seed funding round led by Sunicon Ventures, an early-stage India-focused venture capital firm. The round also saw participation from Zetta Farms and other prominent angel investors. 

Revolutionizing agriculture through AI

Founded in 2020 by Kunal Shrivastava and Kevin Kleber, Suind is a drone tech startup revolutionizing agriculture through AI and offering a comprehensive solution for real-time crop monitoring and treatment. 

With this round of funding, The startup said it will focus on accelerating its technological advancements, enhancing the scalability of its AI-driven crop protection platform, and expanding its market penetration in both the Indian and European markets. 

“Our extensive research into SUIND’s technology revealed a remarkable differentiator in the Indian Agritech landscape” said Saloni Jain, Managing Partner, Sunicon Ventures. “SUIND’s innovative solutions represent a significant leap towards enhancing agricultural efficiency and sustainability. Integrating drones for crop protection

Suind said it aims to revolutionize crop protection by integrating drones, computer vision, and data analytics. The startup specialises in developing low-power vision-based AI for drones, allowing it to operate fully autonomously in challenging plantation terrains like tea, rubber, fruit orchards, etc. 

Suind claims its technology promotes sustainable farming practices by minimizing chemical usage and optimizing resource allocation.
