EU regulators have given Meta a deadline to provide more details on the measures it has taken to tackle child sexual abuse material on Instagram. The European Commission has requested information on Instagram’s recommender system and amplification of potentially harmful content. The EU’s Digital Services Act allows regulators to request such information and take stricter actions against illegal and harmful content.
