In its mission of “helping those who help others” MeduLance, a prominent emergency medical service provider, has joined hands with the ride-hailing major Uber India. The collaboration aims to serve the unsung heroes that drive the wheels of the everyday lives of countless people through their services- Uber drivers. As these drivers form the backbone of a seamless transportation system across major cities, measures to ensure they have a good quality of life are important.

As part of this partnership, MeduLance and Uber India organized Mobile Health Camps in various locations across Delhi NCR and Bangalore over 4 weeks. Each week, the Mobile Medical Unit was relocated to different locations, ensuring that its services were accessible to as many people as possible, removing the hurdle of accessibility and distance. Over 4 weeks, over 1300 Uber drivers visited the Mobile Health Camps where they were provided free-of-cost health and wellness services, including health check-ups, medical consultations, and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

On the partnership, Mr. Pranav Bajaj, Co-Founder of MeduLance said, “This association holds great significance for us at MeduLance because it perfectly embodies our vision. Emergency preparedness is about more than just responding to crises; it is also about proactively caring for and supporting those who selflessly serve our communities every day. Uber drivers play an integral role in our daily lives, ensuring our mobility, and we are here to ensure they have the best health and well-being to continue serving our communities. Our partnership with Uber India was more than a collaboration; it is a promise to keep extending our helping hand to these heroes, ensuring they remain healthy and ready to provide top-notch service to their valued passengers.

Shiva Shailendran, Director – Operations, Uber India & South Asia, said, “Drivers are at the heart of what we do at Uber. We continue to stay committed to being their platform of choice by making Uber an attractive and viable option for drivers to earn flexibly and provide support for their well-being. Our partnership with Medulance to set up mobile health camps is a step in the right direction and provides drivers with a convenient option to get their health monitored at locations that are convenient for drivers. We’ve received great driver feedback who appreciate this critical support and we hope to extend it to more locations in the coming months.”

MeduLance has saved numerous lives through the timely delivery of crucial medical assistance using its fleet of basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) ambulances. These ambulances are furnished with comprehensive medical equipment and supplies, catering to both minor and major health issues.

Presently operating in 500+ cities, MeduLance aims to extend its reach to 500 additional cities in the next two years. The organization delivers emergency medical response services for the Governments of Delhi and the Government of Rajasthan and is actively working towards expanding its services in the North-East India region.
