Amazon’s Prime Video launches ‘Mission Start Ab’ for promising startups; Know the details

Amazon’s Prime Video has unveiled ‘Mission Start Ab’, a reality series dedicated to nurturing grassroots entrepreneurs in India.

The show, which is developed in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, aims to discover and empower entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds across the country. Amazon said its aims to foster the development of potential unicorns, showcasing a range of sectors from robotics to fintech and health and wellness.

Who are the judges?

The series boasts a lineup of judges and mentors, including Kunal Bahl of Titan Capital, Anisha Singh of She Capital, and Manish Chowdhary of Wow Skin Science. 

Apart from providing judgement, The seasoned investors will also provide mentorship and guiding contestants to refine and scale their startups. The show is hosted by Masaba Gupta and Cyrus Sahukar, with Indrajit Ray as the executive producer and Srimanta Sengupta directing this Endemol Shine India production.

Format and vision

‘Mission Start Ab’ offers a unique format where ten selected entrepreneurs per season undergo a series of tasks and interactive exercises, coupled with one-on-one mentorship. This structure is designed to enhance their business acumen and problem-solving skills.

Sushant Sreeram, country director of Prime Video India, emphasizes the show’s commitment to leveraging entertainment for skill development and national contribution. The series aligns with Amazon’s broader initiatives, including a partnership with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, to cultivate talent beneficial to India.
