Indian superfood brand Nourish You has acquired a Bengaluru-based One Good, a vegan dairy brand, for an undisclosed sum.
Background of the companies
One Good, originally known as Goodmylk and founded in 2016, is headquartered in Bengaluru and offers a wide range of vegan dairy products. Nourish You, established in 2015, is known for introducing superfoods like quinoa and chia seeds to Indian consumers.
The company has expanded its product range to include fills, mueslis, and plant-based milk, available in over 2,500 retail stores and several international markets.
Leadership changes
Post-acquisition, One Good’s leadership team, including CEO & Co-founder Abhay Rangan, CFO & Co-founder Radhika Datt, and COO Dhivakar Sathyamurthy, will join Nourish You’s leadership.
Both brands aim to offer 50 SKUs and target Rs 30 crore in revenue by this fiscal end. Nourish You plans further expansion and is in talks for backward integration, aiming for Rs 100 crore revenue by FY25.
What does the leadership say about the acquisition
Krishna Reddy, Co-Founder, Nourish You said, “From introducing India to the power of superfoods and now acquiring One Good, Nourish You evolves from being a superfood brand to a plant-based brand, embracing a more inclusive vision. One Good’s journey is revolutionary. It was born with a vision of creating the next big dairy company, devoid of animals. Moreover, it is led by a team of fervent vegans dedicated to both innovation and animal protection. The acquisition integrates Nourish You’s commitment to animal welfare with our existing values of nourishing consumers, farmers, and the planet. It also reinforces our commitment to make healthy, flavorful plant-based foods, affordable and accessible.”
Future plans
Nourish You is investing in infrastructure to support fresh milk projects, aiming to provide plant-based milk at competitive prices. The company also plans a Series A funding round to build a sustainable business.
