Tang Tan, an Apple veteran, is leaving the company in February to join LoveForm, a design company founded by Jony Ive. Tan will lead the hardware designing at LoveForm, working on upcoming products. Jony Ive and Sam Altman are collaborating on an “artificial intelligence hardware device” called the “iPhone for AI.” SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son may invest $1 billion in the project, and Arm, a chip designer, may also be involved. LoveForm is currently conceptualizing home devices with software provided by Sam Altman’s OpenAI.
