After unveiling the Xiaomi 14 series in China last December, Xiaomi is all set to bring its flagship smartphone series to international markets later this month. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 series will make its global debut on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, announced the Xiaomi 14 series global launch on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “It’s a moment we share.Feb 25th, the #LensToLegend journey begins. Get ready to be inspired.”
The Xiaomi 14 series includes two models – Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. The word around the town is that the company might also announce a third model in the series – Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, there is no confirmation from the company on the same.
We expect the Xiaomi 14 to launch in India on the same day as its global debut on February 25.
Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro: What to expect
The Xiaomi 14 boasts a 6.36-inch OLED display with an impressive 93.3% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The phone has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP large sensor, an ultra-wide camera, and a 3.2X telephoto camera, all equipped with a Leica Summilux lens. It has a 4610mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone features a 6.78-inch 2K C8 OLED LTPO screen with a peak brightness of 3000 nits, variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. The All-Around Liquid Display is slightly curved down on all four sides, which resolves issues found in traditional curved screens. It also has triple rear cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, up to 16GB of RAM, and a natural haptic feedback engine. The phone has a 4880mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Additionally, there is a Titanium Metal Special Edition of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, featuring a titanium metal middle frame, double-sided Dragon Crystal glass, and an orange halo finish.
The Xiaomi 14 starts at CNY 3999 (around Rs 45,800), while the Xiaomi 14 Pro comes at a starting price tag of CNY 4999 (around Rs 56,800).
