DSC-JGI successfully wraps up RECKON 5.0: An Impressive Display of Innovation and Collaboration in Jodhpur

The Developer Student Club at JIET Group of Institutions (DSC-JGI) joyfully concluded its flagship hackathon, RECKON 5.0, on the 18th of February, 2024. The two-day event, hosted in the culturally vibrant city of Jodhpur, brought together more than 350 enthusiastic participants from various parts of the country, demonstrating their zeal for technology and creativity.

RECKON 5.0, the fifth version of the annual hackathon, lived up to its reputation as a hub for pioneering ideas and cooperative problem-solving. The event, managed by DSC-JGI, showcased a varied range of participants, including developers, entrepreneurs, scholars, and experts, coming together to push the boundaries of innovation.

Key Highlights of RECKON 5.0:

Inclusivity and Diversity:

RECKON 5.0 embraced participants from diverse colleges and institutions, fostering an inclusive setting where different perspectives and abilities converged. The hackathon saw active engagement from 65 teams, with 35 teams originating from JIET Group of Institutions.

Prominent Industry and Academic Figures:

The occasion witnessed the prestigious presence of Mr. Mayank Singhi, Managing Director at Medipulse Hospital and Chairman of JIET Group, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Singhi’s insights presented participants with a unique amalgamation of perspectives from the healthcare and education sectors.

RECKON 5.0 showcased varied fields, such as Agriculture & FoodTech, AI/ML, Blockchain/Cybersecurity, EdTech, FinTech, Green & Clean Technology, Health Tech, and Self Innovation. Participants tackled challenges within these sectors, demonstrating their capabilities in addressing real world matters through technology.

The evaluation rounds of the hackathon were steered by a panel of distinguished judges. Notable personalities like Mr. Tushar Goyal, Mr. Amit Sinhal, Dr. Gaurav Kumar, and others brought their expertise to the forefront, offering valuable feedback and acknowledging exceptional projects.
