Rahul Bhatia, the group managing director of IndiGo’s parent firm InterGlobe Enterprises, has joined hands with former Tech Mahindra’s chief executive officer CP Gurnani for an artificial intelligence (AI) venture.
Launched on Tuesday (April 23), the venture dubbed as ‘AIonOS’ will offer AI-powered SaaS solutions to help businesses in the travel, transportation, logistics and hospitality sectors increase their revenue, the company said in a statement.
Inc42 has learnt that InterGlobe Enterprises has also bought a majority stake in AIonOS.
The Singapore-headquartered company already has an office in Delhi-NCR, with plans underway to set up offices in Hyderabad and Chennai too, a source familiar with the development told Inc42.
“AIonOS is aimed at enabling businesses to accelerate their digital transformation by enhancing human and system capabilities with AI-powered solutions. By leveraging our deep sectoral expertise and the power of AI, we aim to revolutionise industries, redefine possibilities, and shape the future of businesses,” Bhatia said.
AIonOS will streamline an enterprise’s decision-making process by connecting with its existing data sources and reducing the risk of information gaps.
Additionally, it will build on this knowledge to ensure that AI complements and provides a fillip to the existing business logic and computational models.
“At AIonOS, we are redefining industry standards with IntelliOS, our AI native platform that enables organisations to initiate their transformation towards cognitive enterprises,” Gurnani said.
“We are building SaaS solutions that integrate seamlessly into the fabric of industries such as travel, transport, logistics and hospitality. The first set of use cases includes unlocking higher revenue through smarter pricing and delivering superior customer experience. Our approach to AI combines sophisticated technology with the nuances of human interaction in every solution we deliver,” he added.
AIonOS will use generative AI to bring about digital transformation of businesses across industries. Some of the key products in its portfolio include AI custom solutions, industry specific products, data insight engineer and AI-led CX.
The development comes at a time when India’s Generative AI startup landscape is flourishing, with 70+ homegrown GenAI startups having raised over $440 Mn funding since 2019, as per Inc42’s report.
According to Inc42’s ‘India’s Generative AI Startup Landscape Report, 2023’, the global GenAI industry is projected to surpass $550 Bn by 2030.
