It has also removed its logo from its India website.
This comes weeks after a data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/bombay-high-court” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Bombay High Court (HC) order restrained data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” target=”_blank” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/cognizant” rel=”noopener”>Cognizant from using its previous logo in India following an identical data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/logo-trademark-dispute” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>logo trademark dispute with Bengaluru-based data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/atyati-technologies-pvt-ltd” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Atyati Technologies Pvt Ltd.
Refusing to link the two developments, a data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” target=”_blank” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/cognizant” rel=”noopener”>Cognizant spokesperson said in a statement, “We are temporarily using ‘ data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/innovate” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>innovate’ as a header on our social media channels to commemorate the one-year anniversary of our data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/bluebolt” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Bluebolt innovation initiative.”
Mid April, the Bombay HC temporarily restrained Cognizant from using in India a trademark logo that is allegedly identical to the logo of Bengaluru-based Atyati Technologies, a tech firm that works with financial institutions.

Further, the spokesperson added that the firm launched the campaign on April 21 on World Innovation Day and expect it to run through May.Last year in October, data-ga-onclick=”Inarticle articleshow link click#Tech#href” href=”https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/atyati-technologies” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Atyati Technologies argued that it was surprised to learn that the defendant (Cognizant) was offering almost identical services relating to IT infrastructure, software development for banking and financial services, and consulting services under a mark/logo as its prominent, leading and essential feature.
Cognizant said, “We do not comment on sub-judice matters. Cognizant respects third party intellectual properties, while remaining committed to protecting its own business interest and IPs. The company will pursue legal remedies, as needed.”
A year ago, Cognizant introduced Bluebolt, a grassroots innovation program, for its global associates to devise and submit ideas with the goal of advancing clients’ success. Cognizant has received over 130,000 ideas in a year, and more than 23,000 ideas have been implemented so far, the company said in a release on April 25.
Cognizant said the Bluebolt program has delivered more than $150 million in estimated annualised cost savings for enterprises.
In India, Cognizant has about 250,000 employees of the total headcount at 344,400 as on March end 2024. Its global employee count reduced by 7,100 from a year ago and about 3,300 from the previous quarter.
