Acclaimed Apple original series Severance is getting a physical media release

The critically acclaimed Apple original Severance is getting a release on disc, with a Blu-ray edition going on sale this December.

Apple’s workplace sci-fi drama premiered in February 2022, and became one of the service’s biggest hits.

The show sees Mark (Adam Scott) work at a mysterious company called Lumon, that use a “severance” procedure to separate employee’s memories at work and at home, so each person essentially leads two different lives with no recollection of what they did at work when they are at home, and vice versa.

With a nail-biting season one cliffhanger, season two is hotly anticipated. After many delays, the show will return with S2E1 on January 17.

But a month before, viewers who want to own the show on physical disc can pick up the Blu-ray version, or perhaps gift it to their non-TV+-subscribing friends for Christmas. Severance: Season 1 on Blu-Ray is set to release on December 17, 2024.

Like prior Apple TV+ disc releases, the Blu-Ray is 1080p resolution, not UHD.
