“Ranjita Ghosh will assume her new role of from February 1, 2025… Ranjita will report to the chief strategist & technology officer Hari Shetty,” Wipro said in a statement.
“In this role, she will lead all marketing activities for Wipro Limited across its geographies, shaping the company’s brand and contributing significantly to its growth, it added.
Ghosh takes over from Laura Langdon, who has decided to explore career opportunities outside Wipro, country’s fourth largest IT services provider.
Over the last more than 12 months, Wipro has seen around a dozen senior executive exits.
Since taking charge in April this year, Wipro’s new CEO Srinivas Pallia has also been promoting old hands at senior leadership positions at the Bengaluru-headquartered company of billionaire businessman Azim Premji. This follows multiple resignations of executives following the departure of former chief Thierry Delaporte who quit the firm in April. Some of the exiting executives were hired during Delaporte’s tenure having worked together at France-headquartered technology giant Capgemini.

Last month, insider Omkar Nisal was appointed as the chief executive officer for Europe strategic market unit (SMU) succeeding Pierre Bruno, who stepped down after four years.Wipro also elevated more than six other insiders including Malay Joshi to head Americas 1, Sarat Chand to lead the Northern Europe region, Vinay Firake as CEO of APMEA and Hari Shetty as chief strategist and sales excellence officer, among others.
Previously, Ghosh was the CMO of Wipro’s Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA) SMU supporting the IT giant’s business objectives through marketing, customer experience and communications charter. Her work involved brand positioning and localisation, thought leadership, and managing influencer partnerships, with a focus on innovative marketing strategies and customer advocacy.
With nearly two decades of diverse experience in the global technology services industry, Ranjita (Ghosh) has held various roles in sales, business development, growth marketing, buyer experience, and ecosystem partnerships. She has also managed marketing for multiple high-value portfolios and led teams across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, the statement added.
An engineer in printing technology, Ghosh pursed her post-graduate in management in marketing and operations and a diploma in cyber law.
