Season 2 premiere finds Mark back at work following eventful finale

Apple TV+ has had a long road to releasing the second season of its sci-hi hit Severance.

Now, after nearly three years with no new Severance episodes, the highly anticipated season 2 will be here in just a few weeks.

If you want to get a taste of what’s coming, Apple has released the first eight minutes of season 2 as an exclusive preview for Apple TV+ subscribers.

You can watch the first eight minutes here.

It’s available inside the Apple TV app under the ‘Bonus Content’ section of Severance, titled, ‘Season 2 Sneak Peek.’

The new season kicks off with Mark (Adam Scott’s character) returning to Lumon for his first day back since the impactful events of the season 1 finale. He’s understandably a little shaken up.

Here’s Apple’s summary of the show, including a brief season 2 teaser:

In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work … and of himself. In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.

The official trailer for season 2 is available below:
