As the company prepares for 2025, analysts are optimistic about Meta’s potential in the realm of generative AI.
Jefferies analysts chose Meta as one of the “winners” in the space, pointing to the company’s massive user base as “one of the richest surfaces to introduce Gen AI tools,” as per CNBC reports. Truist Securities also noted that Meta’s AI digital assistant could challenge Google’s search engine as “an answer engine for all kinds of queries.”
AI glasses
In the blog post, Meta spoke about the evolution of AI assistants in glasses, emphasising their shift from reactive tools to proactive helpers in 2025. Instead of AI assistants that just respond to user prompts, they will become context-aware participants in daily life. Meta came closer to this vision in December 2024, with the company rolling out its Live AI feature for glasses, offering a more personalisedAI experience.
Meta’s research team is also focusing on creating AI-native hardware, so unlike other phone and PC makers, they won’t have to rebuild their products to put AI assistants at their core.
