IT companies or BPO companies are concerned that they may be in breach of the European Union’s General Data Protection Rules (GDPR) if they provide data of their foreign data principals for lawful purposes to the government of India under the DPDP.These issues among others were raised at the third consultation on the draft Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules by the ministry for electronics and information technology (MeitY) in Bengaluru on Saturday.
