OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told ET in an exclusive interview that the funding for his ambitious $500-billion Stargate artificial intelligence infrastructure project was on track despite the skepticism raised around the source of the capital.

Altman said OpenAI is excited to build what can potentially be the “biggest infrastructure project in US history”. “On the money, you’ll see it as it goes into the ground. I totally get why people would make some of those comments. Obviously, they have their own incentives and competition here,” he said.
