India’s second-largest IT company, Infosys, is facing criticism for laying off 700 employees who were onboarded in October after waiting for over 2.5 years, according to the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) and affected students.

However, the company stated that the actual number of layoffs was fewer than 350.
