Artificial intelligence (AI) regulations in India should support innovation and ensure they do not hinder the growth of startups, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, cofounder of Info Edge, which owns platforms such as Naukri.com, Jeevansathi.com and 99Acres.com, said on Friday.

“You can’t have legislation or regulations in India that hamper your own startups because the Indian user will then move to more and more overseas products and companies,” he said at an event in New Delhi.
