Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani on February 28 said the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has primed India to become a global leader in technology and innovation. He also said companies that don’t embrace AI could fall by the wayside.

Speaking at Mumbai Tech Week on Friday, Ambani said the country has come a long way, from being considered something of a “technological laggard” to being at the forefront of innovation.
