A viral WhatsApp message claiming that the government is offering financial aid of ₹46,715 to the poor is fake. The message, which asks recipients for personal details, is a scam.

The Ministry of Finance has not announced any such scheme, according to the Press Information Bureau. Officials have warned people against falling for fraudulent messages and advise users to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing sensitive information.
