
Apple’s new MacBook Air is here, headlined by an M4 chip upgrade and a lower price. There are a few other tidbits you should know.
External display support
The M1 MacBook Air was a step back from its Intel predecessor insofar as it could only power one external display. The same was true for the next-generation M2 MacBook Air. With the M3 MacBook Air last year, Apple added support for two external displays, but only when the laptop lid was closed.
