
Following Android back in July, Google Maps is now rolling out a sheet-based redesign that replaces most fullscreen UIs in the iPhone app.
Upon opening the map, you’ll notice that all bottom sheets in the app feature more rounded corners. After tapping on a place listing and sliding all the way up, you’ll notice that the map remains visible at the top behind the status bar. This sliver helps preserve context as you navigate through the app.
