A slew of artificial intelligence-focused startups founded by Indian entrepreneurs, are making a beeline for the US in search of more AI-conversant investors as well as to be closer to their primary customers.

This growing trend, reminiscent of similar forays in previous decades by firms selling software as a service (SaaS), could deliver a ringside view of fast-moving innovation in the buzzy sector along with greater access to risk capital and talent, according to half a dozen founders who spoke to ET.
