The Indian government is intensifying efforts to regulate online content and curb the spread of sexually explicit material, particularly concerning child sexual abuse. Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, informed the Lok Sabha that several measures are being implemented under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT Rules, 2021, to ensure a safer digital environment.
