Global PC shipments saw their strongest growth in four years during Q1 2025, rising 9.4% to reach 62.7 million units, as manufacturers rushed deliveries to avoid new tariffs, as per a new Canalys report.

The surge comes as companies speed up US shipments before fresh tariff measures take effect. Notebook shipments, including mobile workstations, reached 49.4 million units—a 10% increase from last year. Desktop shipments grew by 8% to 13.3 million units.
