TCS to delay salary hikes on uncertain business environment

India’s largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), will defer annual salary increments for its employees as an uncertain business environment in the wake of the global tariff war weighs over near-term revenue growth prospects.

“On wage hikes, considering the uncertain business environment, we will decide within the year when to make that happen,” chief human resource officer (CHRO) Milind Lakkad said at the company’s fourth quarter (Q4) earnings press conference in Mumbai.
