Muneer Khan, a young scientist from Gauriya village in Lakhimpur Kheri district, Uttar Pradesh, has brought pride to India by winning an international accolade at Columbia University in the United States.

Participating in the ‘Millard Chan Technology Challenge 2025’, Khan was awarded the ‘Engineering for Humanity Award 2025’ for his contributions to technological innovation in the field of social welfare.

The award includes a cash prize of $10,000 (approximately ₹8.53 lakh).
