Ola Electric outlets face shutdown as Maharashtra cracks down on company for non-compliance

The Maharashtra government has instructed regional transport offices (RTOs) to shut down Ola Electric outlets operating without a valid trade certificate.

As reported by Mint, officials are preparing to close at least 121 of Ola Electric’s nearly 450 stores in the state for not having a mandatory vehicle sales permit.

According to an April 16 show cause notice issued by the RTO, 146 Ola Electric locations across Maharashtra have been inspected so far, of which 121 were found to be non-compliant, and 75 have already been shut down.
