India rolls out ‘Fraud Risk Indicator’ to help banks, UPI apps flag suspicious mobile numbers

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), on Wednesday, launched the “Financial Fraud Risk Indicator” (FRI) to curb cyber fraud. This new intelligence tool is said to classify mobile numbers based on their likelihood of involvement in financial scams, Ministry of Communications said in a release.
