India’s medium-sized enterprises are being held back by outdated technology, limited digital infrastructure and a lack of access to affordable innovation, according to a report by the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), supported by NITI Aayog.

The report, ‘Designing a Policy for Medium Enterprises,’ states that “majority of Medium Enterprises use outdated technology that prevents them from keeping up with the modern world.” It adds that 82% of such firms surveyed do not use Industry 4.0 technologies like artificial intelligence (AI)…
