Instacart promoted chief business officer Chris Rogers to chief executive officer, replacing Fidji Simo who said earlier this month that she’s leaving for a top leadership position at OpenAI.

Rogers will step into the role August 5, at which point he’ll also join Instacart’s board of directors, the company said in a statement Wednesday. Simo will remain chair of the board.
