World’s First Hospitality-Grade Humanoid Robot Now Cleans, Restocks, and Serves Hotel Guests

China’s Zerith H1 is a next-generation humanoid robot designed to transform hotel housekeeping. Built with AI capabilities, it can perform essential tasks like cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming floors, and restocking guest amenities. Its smart design includes flexible wheels and an adjustable body height, allowing it to smoothly navigate narrow hotel hallways and adapt to varying room layouts.

What makes the Zerith H1 unique is its ability to work across different height levels—it can retrieve items from the floor, arrange toiletries, and organize shoes, all while skillfully avoiding obstacles like furniture and guests. Its advanced spatial mapping system enhances its agility in complex hotel environments.

Looking ahead, Zerith plans to expand the H1’s role beyond cleaning. Future upgrades may allow guests to use hotel apps to request items, which the robot can deliver to their rooms. It may also refresh rooms automatically when guests leave. These enhancements aim to ease staff workloads and improve operational efficiency in the hospitality sector.

Zerith, founded in January 2025, is a Chinese robotics startup nurtured by Tsinghua University and the Jianghuai Advanced Technology Center. The team includes professionals from major tech firms like Baidu, ByteDance, iFLYTEK, and Midea. After raising tens of millions of yuan in angel funding this February, Zerith plans to roll out over 500 robots in 2025 for use in hospitality, education, entertainment, and exhibitions.
