US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD) is in talks with the Indian government to develop indigenous GPUs while also helping India’s semiconductor and AI ambitions by bridging the chip talent gap in one of its key markets.

The company is also open to participating in the design-linked incentive (DLI) scheme, a part of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), once the government opens it to multinational companies.
